My Baking Journey 🍪

\It all started with a chocolate chip cookie that was a little too crispy and not nearly sweet enough. Determined to fix my "oops," I dove headfirst into the world of measuring cups, mixers, and just enough flour explosions to keep my husband laughing. What began as a simple hobby soon turned into a love affair with all things dessert. Now, baking isn't just something I do—it's part of who I am.

When I first began baking, I leaned on tried-and-true recipes like banana bread and s’mores cookies (both of which still hold a special place in my heart). These days, I push the boundaries of what’s possible in a cookie or cake. Ever had a Pumpkin Roll Cookie? How about a Cornbread Cookie drizzled with honey butter? Yeah, that’s the kind of stuff we make around here.

A Few of My Favorite Things 🍰

I’m a sucker for anything chocolate, caramel, or spiced. My ultimate dessert? My Chai Latte Cake with Brown Butter frosting! It’s a showstopper at every family gathering. But I also have a soft spot for cookies of all kinds and easy-to-make bakes that still wow a crowd.

When I’m not baking, I’m dreaming up seasonal recipes. Think Frozen Hot Chocolate Cookies for winter or Lemon Meringue Cookies for spring. I also host weekly Instagram Live sessions where I bake, chat, and answer questions—because baking is so much more fun when it’s a shared experience!

Where the Magic Happens 🏠

My husband and I recently moved into a cozy apartment where I bake up a storm in a kitchen that’s small but mighty. It’s filled with my favorite tools, including my trusty KitchenAid mixer, which has been by my side for countless recipes.

My Life Beyond the Kitchen🌍

By day, I’m a scientist—working as a Forensic Specialist in our State Forensic Science Lab. Yes, you heard that right! I swap out test tubes for mixing bowls and lab coats for aprons after hours. It’s a sweet balance (pun intended) of precision and creativity. My science background taught me to experiment carefully, which may explain why I never shy away from mixing bold flavors and unexpected textures.

Outside of work and baking, I love sewing my own clothes, curating a cottagecore aesthetic for my apartment, and cuddling up on the couch with my husband to binge-watch the Office.
